Children of the Forest
The World is Yours
A drug enduced coma shows me peace.
Here I am, I am Heaven.
Free from them, I am not like you.
I cry tears of hope, not shame.
The tears of an angel bleed down my cheeks
While the window shows a sparkling sky
That glows with a life that's just like mine.
We surge with joy, waves crash on our souls,
Like a cool breaze on a humid night.
Drink it, feel it, live it, love it.
The life we feel is what you dream of.
My dreams are real, my dreams are life.
I am not like you, I live among the stars.
One of a kind, a lonely angel.
Everyone is full of lies,
We all long for something more.
A vicious cycle ties us down.
We're bound to our weaknesses
Like souls in our bodies.
Release the body, free the soul;
Kill the lies, end all weakness.
Without the talk there is truth,
You and me and nothing more.
No lies, no thought, no mindless words
To trap us in our bodies.
In truth there is love,
Love and nothing less.
My life is like a dizzying dream.
I wonder why no one else can see
This awful cycle without a seam.
At night when I toss in a cold sweat
The world sleeps in peace, without regret.
I wander aimlessly, lost and cold.
New constelations are strange to me,
My childhood stars are red and old.
I quietly let life pass me by;
My existance is a twisted lie.
I watch everybody rush about,
How engrossed they are in their petty lives,
Filled with worries and infinate doubt.
How odd it is, they'll never know:
In the scheme of things their worth is low.
I'm bored with the pain the life can bring.
Time drags me along, just a lost soul.
My heart is numb, though memories sting.
I want to leave now, I've made amends.
If only I knew why nothing ends.
The night sky is everlasting;
Stars glowing gold and silver,
A celestial ocean of midnight.
The world sleeps under a blanket,
Soft and dark; nothing more impressive
Than its reliable simplicity.
On every planet, in each universe,
One thing is safe to assume:
The night sky is a thing to be worshiped.
Vivid endless blue, dusted with stars,
Glittering diamonds everywhere;
Openings to glowing heaven.
It is there always. It is love and peace,
With hatred and sorrow woven in.
The night sky is beautiful perfection.
I skip through the forest
Dancing in rays of light
That pour from the moon
On this beautiful night.
My heart pounds with life
As I prance like a deer
But I must slow down
For now I am near...
I walk toward the glow,
It's white as a dove.
On the shore of the lake
There stands my true love.
I whisper his name
And he turns around
He smiles and sweeps me
Up off the ground.
As he hugs me close
Everything is right.
I look into his eyes
They're happy and bright.
We walk hand in hand
Listening to the birds
That thing of our love
Without using words.
Together we'll live
Just him and me,
Children of the forest,
I stare across the lake
Watching the leaves fall into the black water.
The breaze off the water chills me
As I sit on the old splintering dock
The fresh air clears my mind,
It rinses out my soul.
The leaves have turned gold and red
And a new year begins.
Another chance to be perfect.
Another chance to do everything right.
Intoxicated with anticipation,
My heart pumps the message to my mind,
This year will be the greatest yet.
You wont make the same mistakes.
You know what you're supposed to do
And this year you will do it.
The World is not enlightened,
Nor is it at peace.
The world is constant turmoil,
It will be your greatest obstacle,
On your path through life.
The world is not your friend,
It doesn't share your thoughts.
The world does not have dreams.
But it cannot be ignored
As it swirls and churns through time.
The world is not you play ground,
But it is your tool.
The world will open your eyes.
The part you play in life,
Let this living be the key.
The world is filled with analogies,
To be used in your quest.
The world can be the catalyst,
It will show you all the answers,
They are right there for you to see.
